Start Reading and Getting Motivated

Well here I am, trying to start a blog. Lately I've been in a bit of a rut in terms of creativity, or well what creative TO HAVE while I'm not working on a project.

"Show Your Work" by Austin Kleon has been a book that has been on my wishlist for half a year now and a couple weeks ago I finally found a copy of it. Today I finally found time to sit down and start reading and taking it all in and annotating. Well, half of it so far.

Reading today I made it through the first 5 chapters (the literal halfway point), during the read the book was giving me everything I wanted to hear and more. Chapter 2 specifically was eye opening for me, it was even what finally got me to update my website and start a blog to write down my thoughts and where I'm thinking right now. I'm not too sure what else to add nor do I know how often I will update this blog, but I want to try to extend myself out into the (digital) public eye and show my process some more. I even have a couple of ideas of what I want to share out more but that all will come with time.

So my message for today will be simple: if you have not read this book I highly encourage it, although I have not finished the book I truly believe that this is a very inspiring read for those that want to reach out more too.

I aspire to grow more and more by the day and think this is a good first step to achieving the goals that I want to reach.
